2026 Learning Provider (LP) training events

Registration is now open for our 2026 LP training events. These training events will focus on business-to-business processes and the LP Portal. We'll focus on the administration of loans, financial reporting, and complex interactions.

The training events are for new and existing managers and staff of approved LPs who would like to refresh and expand their knowledge. There will be presentations and interactive exercises. We'll use scenario based case studies covering best practice and financial monitoring.

At the end of each session, you'll have the chance to discuss individual queries with your FE Account Manager.

Training content

The training events will cover several areas including:
  • an overview of the roles and responsibilities of the Student Loans Company and the LP partnerships
  • FE funding updates
  • academic year 2026/27 planning from launch to application
  • the learner journey
  • SLC service standards
  • LP Portal functionality
  • financial reporting
  • scenarios and best practice
  • repayments

Dates and times

The sessions will run from 10am to 3.30pm.

  • 13 May - Darlington: SLC, Lingfield Point, Darlington
  • 13 May - London: Electra House, London Fashion Retail Academy
  • 19 May - Manchester: Manchester Metropolitan University Business School
  • 20 May - Birmingham: Sutton Coldfield Campus, Birmingham Metropolitan College
We'll provide lunch and refreshments.

Cost

The cost per delegate will be £40 + VAT.

We'll send you an invoice prior to the event. Please make sure you pay the invoice before attending. Please note we cannot accept credit card payments.
