Advanced Learner Loan bulletin - March 2024

Advanced Learner Loans – Learning Provider Forums

We’ve now completed this year’s round of face-to-face Learning Provider forums. The sessions provided a lot of great insight and feedback so thanks to you all who were able to attend.
We hope you found these events useful, and we’ll be using your feedback to help shape our future events. We'll publish the slides shown during the forums shortly and let you know when they are available.

LP Portal training events

We’ll be hosting a series of face-to-face training events throughout May. The events are suitable for new providers, new staff or those who wish to refresh or expand their knowledge.

The events will be held in:

  • London
  • Birmingham
  • Exeter
  • Newcastle
  • Sheffield

They'll be full day, face-to-face sessions with lunch and refreshments provided. As such, they'll be chargeable and attendance at the training day will be subject to a fee of £110 plus VAT per person to cover our costs.

We'll open registration on Monday 25 March, please look out for the registration email coming out on that day. We expect interest to be high due to an increase in providers and changes in the sector, therefore please book early to avoid disappointment.

Maximum loan amounts

It’s been confirmed that the maximum loan amounts will remain unchanged for academic year 2024/2025. You can find further information on this in the maximum loan amounts for ALL designated qualifications guidance from last year.

Contacting the DfE and ESFA

A new Customer Help Portal has been introduced that improves the way you ask the DfE and ESFA questions and get tailored support. This will replace the current ESFA Enquiry Form.

The portal has a new and improved contact form, which will signpost help articles and guidance to you as you select options that match your query. You’ll be able to track your query’s progress, and message the customer service team with any extra details. Plus, it can all be stored in your linked DfE Sign-in or MyEnquiry portal account, making it even easier for you to refer back to in the future.
